Biomaterials for Tissue Engineering

This course will cover the application of engineering principles, combined with molecular and cell biology, in an effort to develop fundamental understanding of property-function relationships in cells and tissues for tissue engineering applications.  Also covered is the exploitation of this understanding to rationally manipulate cell and tissue properties to alter, restore, maintain, and improve cell/tissue functions with the use of applied biomaterials for regenerative medicine therapies.
