Design and Practical Implications with Engineered Cardiovascular Tissues

Course Objective:   To understand key engineering, biological and clinical principles to design and develop engineered cardiovascular tissues.

The basic class will cover aspects of cardiovascular tissue engineering with a focus on blood vessel development, heart tissues including cardiac muscle and valves. Other special topics will include mechanisms of vascularization and project based class assignments.
