Research
My current research is focused on developing materials for spinal cord injury (SCI) repair. SCI is a multi-faceted condition that can have grave and permanent implications including paralysis and neuropathic pain. Current clinical treatments for SCI are palliative in nature and do not restore lost function. Novel materials are necessary to develop new and innovative SCI treatments that promote repair of the spinal cord and restore any lost function.
