As biomedical engineers, we strive to use our engineering knowledge to make patient’s lives better.  But how can we do that if we never get the product to market?

The difference between the products that become enormously successful, and those that don’t, is our ability to predict the market and to understand what it takes to get the product to the customer.  I have focused my career on understanding the customer, developing products that can get to market, and working with entrepreneurs to evaluate and grow their businesses.  Spend an hour with me to learn how to take your ideas out of the lab and transform them into products in the hands of doctors, nurses, and patients.  Examples provided from my experiences, mistakes, and all-out failures in the world of medical device, consulting, and entrepreneurship.


Blythe Karow holds a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, an M.B.A. from the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia and has over 15 years of experience in the medical device industry.
