Dr. Isaac Adjei, a post-doc in the Sharma Lab, was awarded the “2017 Postdoctoral Associate Excellence Award” yesterday at the UF BME Fall Welcome event. This is the first time in UF BME’s history that a post-doc is being recognized in the BME Departmental Excellence Awards.
The postdoctoral Associate Excellence Award is given to a BME postdoctoral associate who has conducted outstanding research, exhibits leadership, mentorship and service as he progresses toward a defined career. Postdoctoral associates are individuals who have recently completed a doctoral degree and are under the oversight of a faculty mentor. The award consists of a plaque and $250 provided as a travel scholarship while employed at UF.
