Congratulations to Sharma Lab PhD student Jahnelle Jordan, who recently was elected to be the Philanthropy Chair of the BME Graduate Student Council (BME GSC) officer team. In the past semester, the Philanthropy Chair position was voted in as a new officer position in the BME GSC officer board. As the Philanthropy Chair, Jahnelle will organize, promote, and orchestrate BME graduate student participation in STEM outreach activities and general outreach to the community. Jahnelle plans to collaborate with other groups around Gainesville such as the Cade Museum, Hands on Gainesville, the St. Francis Arbor House, and the Bread of the Mighty food bank.
