On July 20th, Tolulope Ajayi successfully defended her PhD, titled ‘Application of Imaging Modalities and Animal Models to Advance Nanoparticle Technologies for Osteoarthritis’! This work is the culmination of the last five years of Tolu’s work in both the Sharma Lab and the Allen Lab.
While at the University of Florida, Tolu published several research articles and mentored a number of undergraduate and masters students. She has been a staple in the lab and the legacy of her work will be continued on by our current masters students focusing on animal models to advance the understanding of post-traumatic osteoarthritis progression.
After Tolu presented her oral thesis defense, we hosted a celebration with members from both the Sharma lab and the Allen lab to commemorate the day.
Congratulations Dr. Ajayi, we are so proud of you!
