The Stabler team is heading to Melbourne, Australia for the 2015 IPITA-CTS-IXA World Congress on October 7-10, 2015.

Members of the Stabler lab will be given oral and poster presentations, with:

Dr. Stabler will be giving an invited lecture entitled “Layer-by-layer Encapsulation of Bioactive Polymers for Islet Encapsulation” during the JDRF Lunch Symposium: Islet Encapsulation on Monday at 12:30 pm, as well as a talk entitled “Engineering an Infectious Treg Biomimetic through Surface Bound TGF-β1 Polymers” on Tuesday at 11 – 12 in the Cellular Encapsulation session.

Kaiyuan Jiang will be giving a talk entitled “Localized release of low-Dose dexamethasone from macroporous scaffolds improves islet engraftment in murine model” on Tuesday at 15:30 – 17:00 in the Modifying Islet Immunity – Adaptive, Innate, and Xenoimmunity session.

Maria Coronel will be giving a talk entitled “In Situ Oxygen Biomaterial for Extrahepatic Islet Transplantation” on Monday at 15:30 – 17:00 in the Stem Cells Bioengineering, and Preclinical Work session.

Anthony Frei will be giving a talk entitled “Engineering an In Vitro Platform for Characterization of Antigen Recognition for Encapsulated Islets” on Tuesday from 15:30 – 16:30 in the Zeroing in on the Perfect Encapsulation and Immunoisolation Device session.

Kerim Gattás Asfura has a poster entitled “Bioactive covalent layer-by-layer platforms for cellular encapsulation” on Tuesday from 17:30 – 18:30 in the Joint Poster Session
