New published review on applying 3D printing for treating type 1 diabetes in Advanced Healthcare Materials

Robert Accolla and Dr Stabler, along with fellow undergraduate research Amberlyn Simmons, recently published a review on applying additive manufacturing techniques for cell-based therapies in type 1 diabetes. The goal of this review was to outline current 3D printing technologies and how they could contribute to the design of innovative devices for supporting the implanted cells, modulating drug release, and promoting blood vessel development. It also provide a perspective on future designs and clinical translation.

Congratulations to Robert and Amberlyn on this strong contribution to the field!
