Dr. Daly is a Research Career Scientist from the Louis Stokes VA Medical Center (LS VAMC) in Cleveland, OH, where she has also been Director of the Cognitive and Motor Learning Research Program and Associate Director of the Functional Electrical Stimulation Center (FESC), an RR&D Center of Excellence similar to the BRRC. She also has been Professor of Neurology at Case Western Reserve University. She currently holds a leadership role in the Brain Rehabilitation Research Program at the McKnight Brain Institute, conducts funded research, and is a leader in the VA National, Brain Rehabilitation Research Center of Excellence (BRRC), a funded center. Dr. Daly collaborates with faculty colleagues at the University of Florida, College of Medicine, College of Engineering, College of Public Health and Health Professions, and Department of Psychology, as well as manages a budget that supports the research infrastructure for 28 Center investigators across multiple scientific and engineering disciplines. The supporting infrastructure resources include contemporary brain function analysis core service, human motor performance core service, and administrative aspects of research including subject recruitment, IRB document preparation, recruiting and hiring research lab staff, purchasing and contracts, and budget management.
