UF BME Faculty Research Excellence Award: Dr. Lakiesha Williams & Dr. Jennifer Nichols

This award is given to the BME primary faculty member who, in the previous year or recent several years, whose research program has had most significant impact, especially recognizing new contributions.

UF BME Faculty Teaching Excellence Award: Dr. Aysegul Gunduz

This award is given to the BME primary faculty member who has excelled in teaching, mentoring, and professional development at either, and preferably both, the undergraduate and graduate levels.

UF BME Faculty Service Excellence Award: Dr. May Mansy

This award is given to the BME primary faculty member who has provided outstanding and dedicated service to the department.

UF BME Postdoc Excellence Award: Dr. Eleana Manousiouthakis

This award is given to the BME postdoctoral associate who has conducted outstanding research, exhibits leadership, mentorship and service as he/she progresses toward a defined career.

UF BME Supervised Teaching Award of Excellence: Jonel Morris & Amanda Studnicki

This award is given to the registered BME graduate student who serves as a supervised teaching assistant and who exhibits an exemplary commitment to student learning, reflective teaching practices, leadership and a commitment to professional growth as a teacher.

UF BME Graduate Student Award of Excellence: Tamara Ordonez Diaz

This award is given to the registered BME graduate student who has excelled in her or his coursework, research, service to the department and leadership.

UF BME Undergraduate Student Award of Excellence: Marion Hagstrom

This award is given to the registered BME undergraduate student who has excelled in her or his coursework, research, service to the department and leadership

UF BME Staff Award of Excellence: Krista Smith

This award is given to the BME staff member who, in the previous year consistently excels in his or her position and makes significant contributions toward the goals of the department.

UF BME Diversity Champion Excellence Award: Generational Relief in Prosthetics (GRiP) & BME IDEA Student Committee

This award is given to BME undergraduate and graduate students, student organizations (only HWCOE or department sponsored groups are eligible), postdocs, faculty, and staff through their exceptional efforts in promoting and practicing diversity, inclusion, equity, and access through academic research, teaching, community outreach, and other forms of engagement.
