Please join UF Biomedical Engineering Society’s (UF-BMES) first event of the spring semester! With the UF Career Showcase being held on February 3rd and 4th, we will be hosting our “Stepping Stones of Professional Development” workshop on January 29th in the BMES Atrium.

This event is open to anyone and serves as not only preparation for Career Showcase but also as a confidence builder for students on future employment and internship opportunities.

The schedule of the event is as follows:

5:00 – 5:45 PM: Meet and Greet (Time for students and professors to mingle with one another and enjoy some delicious food)
5:50 – 6:15 PM: Elevator pitch and technical aspects of an interview (Dr. Whitney)
6:20 – 6:35 PM: Interview etiquette, language, and appearance/Resume aspects (Alexander Kao)
6:40 – 7:30 PM: Mock Interviews and Resume Critique

Light snacks will be provided during the meet and greet section. The attire of the event will be casual, but you may wear business attire if you feel it will be more appropriate for your preparation.
