Assistant Professor, Blanka Sharma, has been invited to participate as a mentee in the USBJI Young Investigators Grant Mentoring and Career Development Program. USBJI is dedicated to raising public awareness and to increasing research of musculoskeletal diseases in the United States. It is apparent that basic and clinical research in the musculoskeletal diseases performed by young investigators is not keeping pace with the increasing burden of these diseases in the United States. The USBJI offer a program with grant mentoring workshops to provide early-career basic and clinical investigators an opportunity to work with experienced researchers in our field to assist them in securing funding and other survival skills required for pursuing an academic career. This grant mentoring program of workshops is open to promising junior faculty that have been nominated by their department or division chairs.
Congratulations, Dr. Sharma!
