Evelyn Bracho-Sanchez, BME PhD student and past President of the Society for Biomaterials UF Chapter, was elected as the President-Elect of the Society for Biomaterials (SFB) National Student Chapter for the 2014-2015 academic year, serving as the president for the following 2015-2016 year. Evelyn’s responsibilities will include assisting the president in organizing student workshops and activities as well as with the agenda for the student chapter business meeting at the next National SFB Annual Meeting. The SFB National Student Chapter is responsible for promoting communication between existing chapters across the country and encouraging schools with a strong biomaterials community to form their own organization. As President, Evelyn will lead the SFB National Student Chapter in serving as a bridge between the individual chapters across the nation and the national society.
