The BME department would like to thank Matthew Maynard, Aditya Asokan and all of the student speakers and poster presenters along with our keynote speaker Dr. David Greenspan for making our inaugural Pruitt Research Day a huge success.

After the morning series of truly outstanding student talks, the judges deliberated and chose Matthew Maynard from the Bolch Laboratory as the BEST student speaker. The poster award competition was fierce but Aditya Asokan from the Ormerod Laboratory was chosen as the BEST poster presenter. Honorable mentions for best student poster included Vijay Ramaswamy (Edison Lab), Chao Wang (Ding Lab) and Lorena Camargo (Rinaldi Lab). We would also like to thank all of our special guests, including Dr. Crayton Pruitt, Jr. for attending this year’s event and look forward to seeing everyone there again next year.
