Core Facilities

AMRIS
AMRIS – Advanced Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Spectroscopy Facility

Advanced MRI and Spectroscopy Facility (AMRIS)

AMRIS is a state-of-the-art NMR facility for high-resolution solution NMR, solid-state NMR, microimaging, animal imaging, and human imaging.

Animal Care Services

Animal Care Services provides oversight for the care and well-being of all animals used for research, teaching, and testing at the University of Florida.

Cell & Tissue Analysis Core (CTAC)

The CTAC maintains high-end instrumentation as well as standard microscopy systems for the acquisition and analysis of bright field, ultrasonic, intravital, fluorescent, and bioluminescent data from both in vitro and in vivo experimental models.

Electron Microscopy Core Facility

This center provides consultation, service, teaching, and access to equipment to investigators that wish to incorporate ultra structure studies in their research program.

Human Gene Therapy Vector Center (Vector and Toxicology Cores)

Toxicology Centers generate and share toxicology data relevant to particular gene vectors. It is responsible for conducting animal and in vitro toxicology studies that the FDA determines are needed before a particular clinical gene transfer trial can begin.

Interdisciplinary Center for Biotechnology Research (ICBR) Cores

This center includes several interdisciplinary cores: Bioinformatics, Cytometry, Electron Microscopy, Gene Expression & Genotyping , Monoclonal Antibody, NextGen DNA Sequencing and Proteomics & Mass Spectrometry.

Major Analytical & Particle Analysis Instrumentation Centers (MAIC & PAIC)

This center provides access to characterization and process instrumentation.

Mass Spectrometry Services

This center provides a valuable resource to complex research needs through access to a wide variety of mass spectrometry instruments, bioinformatic tools and highly trained staff.

Molecular Pathology Core

This core provides routine or personalized histology services including free sample submission supplies for core users.

Stereotactic Radiosurgery Lab

This lab is a radiosurgery-biology research lab that offers a computer-controlled six Mev linear accelerator for use in cerebrovascular, cancer, cell and molecular research.
