It’s pinning time again!
Be a part of our 2nd annual heartwarming tradition – sponsor a class of 2015 undergraduate Biomedical Engineering student’s graduation pin!
These custom-designed pins recognize our graduating students for their achievements and serve as a guiding reminder of excellence and research to improve human health. It is a symbol the class of 2015 will carry with them long after they walk across the stage, and one that YOU can help make possible!
For just $100, you will provide a student with their graduation pin. Sponsor one or multiple students! Every pin you sponsor will include a note to the student with your name, class year (if alumni) and a personal message provided by you. Your tax-deductible donation will also be used to grow and expand this tradition and to help support BME student activities.
Last May, all of our BME students in the inaugural undergraduate class had their pins sponsored! One of our pin sponsors had this to say:
“Shortly after last year’s pinning ceremony, I received a hand-written note from student Aline Yonezawa, thanking me for sponsoring her graduation pin and what it meant to her. I was truly surprised and pleased! It is not common today to see such wonderful and courteous behavior. As a proud UF alum, it’s an honor and a privilege for me to help in any way I can to encourage these graduating students as they embark on the next stages of their careers and studies.” – Richard L. Morin, Ph.D., F.A.C.R.
Our goal is to have every pin sponsored in the Class of 2015. Your participation will inspire these BME graduates so that they too might one day support this wonderful tradition. If you are interested in sponsoring a student this year, kindly respond by March 31.
As a pin sponsor, you are invited to attend the BME Pinning Ceremony on May 3, 2015. A reception will begin at 4:00pm, followed by the program at 5:00pm. The ceremony will be held at the Hilton UF Conference Center Hotel. If you are interested in attending, please RSVP to mmasem@eng.ufl.edu.
