Lab: Human Neuromechanics Lab

Degree: I am graduating with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering

Research focus: Assistive lower-limb robotics and rehabilitation biomechanics

Fun fact: I love exploring national parks!

What motivates you?  From a very young age, I’ve wanted to help people with limited mobility. At UF, I’ve been able to conduct biomechanics research, work at a prosthetics clinic, build assistive devices for dogs with limb differences, and adapt toys for children through GRiP. I am so grateful for all of these opportunities and look forward to continuing this work in the future. I am motivated every day by my family’s unwavering love and support. Salamat sa akong pamilya sa tanan (Thank you to my family for everything).

What attracted you to UF BME?: I knew I was interested in both engineering and medicine, so choosing to study biomedical engineering felt natural. Looking back, I am so grateful that I did. The BME program has opened doors to countless opportunities and helped me pursue my passions. I am extremely thankful to UF BME for helping me become the engineer that I am today.
