Mission
Our Goals
GRiP’s mission is to use the skills that we have gained through our classroom work and experiences to make a difference in the lives of others. We design and manufacture 3D-printed assistive devices, as well as adaptive controllers and toys, for those in need across the world. We also conduct research in a variety of areas and strive to educate the community on STEM through outreach activities. We are open to all majors and no experience is necessary.
Some of our projects include dozens of 3D-printed arms and hands as multiple adaptive video game controllers including the PS4, GameCube, Gameboy, and Nintendo 64. We also make devices specialized for certain tasks such as playing instruments, playing basketball, or even a self-playing guitar. These are only a few of the things we have worked on. You can find a more exhaustive list here on the Device Catalogue Page.
If you have any ideas for devices that we should work on in the future, feel free to click on “Submit an Idea” and tell us what you think!
